A battle of egos where everyone is a looser.

Pros

Decent salary. Expenses paid on time. 401k. If you hang out long enough to be vested you can get ESOP.

Cons

Titles count in this caste system. Unless you can prove your merit with a title are male and over the age of 50 your opinion matters not. Very little gender diversity in any management position. Promises are made and not kept. Management won't put their ego aside long enough to invest in technology that works or is from this decade. They refuse to acknowledge the constant infighting and completion between departments. Thinks that their 90+ year history will keep their clients, just because.

Pros

I have been the company for 27 years and it provided me and my family a stable place of employment. Many other employees have been here for 20+ years. In my experience, some of the Pros are as follows: - Majority ESOP and well established and well known company for over 92 years - Experienced engineering and technical professionals - Do their best in the best interest of their clients -Believes in organic growth - Financially secured - Diversified services provide stability during market swings - Provides flexibility and empowerment to employees

Cons

- Implementation of some ideas to improve office procedures take longer time. - Salaries and benefits could use a boost - Communication between different service groups could be better for cross marketing

Pros

Flexible scheduling, Some of the managers are as good as you can get, if you are looking for experience and plan to move on in a few yrs it's a great place. Some of the departments have great managers who will treat you like family.

Cons

Company is on the decline and has been for past 10+ years. The top leadership has become top heavy. Some departments are as good as they get and you will be treated like family. Others are run more like cast systems. If you don't have a PE behind your name your are just a means to an end as far as top management is concerned. Other reviews have mentioned women should beware. I agree with this especially if you are working in the corporate office. Some of their best people have left or have given up. Middle managers are just whipping posts for the lack of leadership from the top. Company is ESOP which is great if you have been there 20+ years, means almost nothing to younger staff( think Pyramid scheme). Pay increases are hard to come by and usually are just cost of living because most of the extra cash is dumped to ESOP. Top share holders get tens of thousands of dollars per year in company stock. If you have been their less than 10 yrs you get a fraction. Remember, if you are interviewing you will be sold sunshine and rainbows. You will be told you will likely get a raise after your probationary period is up. This will only happen if you demand it. I stayed too long, I got some great experience but I would have been much better off taking that experience and leaving after 6 to 8 years.
