It’s cool that everyone is relatively the same age, but it can feel like high school sometimes, especially the unnecessary drama. My biggest complaint was that I was hired (along with 10 other people) when COVID cases began to slow down. I thought it was really poor of management to overhire, although I was grateful for the opportunity. However, after one month of working, they began implementing many ridiculous policies to shorten people’s hours & to actually set people up for termination. This is especially hard on new hires who are trying to adapt, and plus, aren’t we all human? Yet, they heavily penalize for minor mistakes that doesn't even affect the quality of the sample. On the same week that policy was implemented, they laid off 49% of the workers & there were a LOT of us. It felt like a waste of time to apply in the first, especially when HR & upper management had already given us a hard time during the hiring process (don’t even get me started). Anyway, this experience should was absolutely devastating & the emotional distress that I’ve had within the two months working here was not worth it.
