Pros

Sorry. During my last year there before being let go. there were no pros. Looking back I was still grateful for the job, although I have gained much better work experiences since leaving. My first year working there, I loved it and it didn't even feel like a "call center" It was more of a small family-like office environment. The business of sales sure felt so much better in that first year though and the friendly competition was fun. But then all of the fun and nice and 'human' managers left for greener pastures and it went down hill from there.

Cons

I got to know co-workers that had been there for 20 years. In the 20 years that they'd been there, there had not been a single raise in pay. The new management just obviously had no experience being managers and so were really bad at it. There were obvious favorites and such pressure to sell stuff that just wasn't selling. I felt awful trying to sell crappy stuff to grandma's who literally could not afford it.

Pros

The co-workers. People are on the same page, most everyone is enjoyable and works hard; friendly people. Healthcare benefits are actually pretty decent.

Cons

Management is very egotistical. They refuse to see anything differently and usually do nothing with improvement ideas. Sometimes ideas are received as the insinuation that they aren't doing their jobs (which is true, but BECAUSE they accept no ideas and make no changes). Things go relatively unchanged over time despite the company's death spiral. Any changes that do occur usually have more negative side effects than good ones. Turnover is high. No raises. Increasingly antiquated products. Deteriorating machinery and operations. Poor customer service from management's stand point. Really no vision to speak of. You'll get a pat on the bat for performance but ultimately it's empty and without any matching action. Morale is terribly low.

Cons

unfair pay, uncomfortable environment, uncreative environment, expectations of over 55 hr work weeks, no rewards, annoying politics, job is at constant risk, no loyalty to employees, no perks other than national holidays, scared work force
