Pros

Workforce commitment to goals is evident throughout the company. People who work here and really like it are very productive and committed to making it an exceptional place to work.

Cons

Integration of acquired business units is unstructured and not well planned. Guidance from upstream is slow to materialize and transition issues are unnecessarily difficult - and costly - to accomplish. Objectives are not always clearly communicated and often conflict. Because communication tends to be unilateral, I did not get a sense that there is a true 'team effort' to accomplish objectives - and was a witness to quite a bit of staff impairment, frustration - and frequently turnover at various levels.

Pros

The senior management when around were very nice. The pay was competitive to start and 1st shift ended by 3:30 most days. The facility is nice clean and well maintained. Stock Options...

Cons

Mandatory weekends, breaks were often used by lower management as time to show new hires what they were doing wrong (if your not a pro at a assembly don't expect a break your first few days.) Some other Temp to hire employees do not take work seriously making lower level management bitter to new hires and causing excessive rules like asking for bathroom breaks. Huge employee turnover ( I made up nicknames for the people I worked with no use learning real names.)

Pros

Great engineers Opportunity to work on innovative designs that serve customers well

Cons

Toxic politics Good engineering is backseat to sales. Projects are promised with inadequate time, planning, and money in a desperate attempt to show bids. Nepotism Nepotism Nepotism. It exists everywhere but at CW it's a way of life Open degradation and belittling of employees across the board, top to bottom, performing and non-performing
