Pros

The people working there are very friendly, and willing help most times - if mgt does not prohibit it. I really liked the people I worked with, and made friends with many of them. The work can be challenging at times.

Cons

Pay increases are slow to come, typically, after working there a couple years, people new to the company will make more for the same job. Additionally, while there are promotions within the company, they make it difficult at best. Any upper mgt can stop a promotion that mangers on both sides agreed too, even if delayed a few months (someone I worked with). OR, you can promote into a higher position, but be paid less than if the company hired a new person into the company. Managers even complained about this one.

Pros

If you understand the cyclical nature of their work, you can make some money on the stock options. If you are a physicist, this can be a great company to work for.

Cons

Arrogance of senior management is huge. Only valued skills are physics and finance. No concern for employees, layoffs are a common event. Death Marches are encouraged, no concern for the bodies left behind. When things are not going well, senior management just gets out their whips.
