Pros
The company is somewhat stable. It is growing very quickly and job openings are plentiful (due to fast growth and high employee turnover).
Cons
The company was bought by Cincinnati Bell I'm 2010. Ever since then the environment has become very negative. Upper and middle management do not make an effort to get to know employees or their jobs. Yet they expect one person to do the job of many. Long hours are expected and demanded. No respect is given to the employees. You really feel like a number there now. It was not like that before the CB merger. The CEO, Gary Wojtaszek, routinely posts things to the company blog that are extremely negative. Instead of listening to employee concerns, he regularly demeans them and tells us if we don't like it to hit the door (in those words). He spends most of his time in Cincinnati and has made no effort to get to know employees in the other locations. The upper and middle management share the same views and do not treat employees any better (with a very few exceptions). In two weeks time, I have watched four long-term employees resign, several others have left over the past two years and most others are looking for other jobs. Even though the company is growing and making money, no one feels safe or secure in their jobs.
