Pros

A lot of great people/colleagues Interesting work Some managers are great

Cons

No penalty for egregious behaviour Promotions and raises given to individuals in spite of bad behaviour Always putting out fires/strapped for cash used as an excuse not to address issues Overt sexism never dealt with No training for managers, some terrible managers as a result

Pros

I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone who values their sanity or professional growth. The technology is fascinating, and that's the bait that gets talented people in the door. But once you're inside, you realize the company is a chaotic mess held together by duct tape and the sheer will of its overworked, underappreciated staff.

Cons

The management is completely disconnected from the day to day reality of the work. It’s a top down, "because I said so" culture where good ideas go to die unless they come from the right person. There's a thick layer of middle management that seems to exist only to create spreadsheets and block communication between teams. Forget about mentorship or career development; you are a resource to be squeezed until you have nothing left. The culture is the worst part. It's a bizarre mix of academic arrogance and petty high school politics. There are cliques everywhere, and if you're not in the inner circle, you're on the outside. People are afraid to speak up for fear of getting shot down, so everyone just keeps their head down. The atmosphere isn't collaborative; it's a silent battle of egos. I saw so many brilliant, passionate people join with high hopes, only to become cynical and burned out within a year. The shine wears off fast when you realize you're just a cog in a dysfunctional machine. Look elsewhere.

Pros

The R&D team is passionate about the technology

Cons

My time with the company wasn't great, and I often encountered a challenging environment. This was mainly due to a lack of clear direction, goals, and support and insufficient coordination among staff, which permeated from top leadership to bottom. It was particularly an issue in the marketing and sales leadership division. The sales and marketing leadership weren't receptive to feedback or questions; instead, such actions were seen as negative, especially if you are a woman.
