Does not value employees

Pros

Pay and benefits good; great co-workers

Cons

I am a 30+ year service employee who recently retired. It grieves me to say this, but I'm ashamed of DCP and would never recommend to anyone to consider employment with DCP.. The company does not truly value employees. I have several examples I could provide to confirm my statement. but one of the most heart wrenching examples was the manner in which employees were notified and treated as to layoff. Whoever was responsible for the decision to escort employees to a taxi and not allow them to return to their desk and obtain their personal effects and say goodbye to co-workers, tell me please where is the honor and dignity? Several we're long-term service employees and not remotely known as being hostile. To see my co-workers and dear friends being treated in this manner tore me up and angered me. That is when I decided to retire and get out of here. Then for an executive during a company-wide meeting reference those that were laid off as "getting rid of the deadwood" disgusted me. Also, executive management needs to be transparent and completely honest with the workforce. Trust is destroyed when making statements that there are no plans to close an office or layoff employees and then within a few months do just that.

Lack of understanding workflow

Pros

Used to be a place of high quality where the best assets were the employees. Work hours on modified work schedule is the only Pro anymore.

Cons

Management still has rose color glasses on and expects everyone to drink the same cool-aide. Letting go experience that is needed to continue successfully process assets and revenue not top priority obviously. Unfortunately moving functions to Denver without incentives to keep key personnel isn't high on DCPs list of continued success. Can't feed us bull about how great Denver pay and Denver living is and ask people to move without incentive or you will get what your getting, which is what, 95+ % of having to replace critically needed employees. Yep your loosing and have already lost years and years of non replaceable experience. Yes, please pass the grape cool-aide and maybe then your plan will make sense. Good luck Dcp. It's tough watching best in class become classless!!!!

DCP IT Department Mediocrity

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Generally speaking was a good company, now on the decline. decent benefits

Cons

Generally speaking was a good company, now on the decline. The IT department, cannot execute on large projects; and is interested in Marketing itself and chooses to ignore the obvious issues at the Manager and Director level. Leadership is in denial about their abilities to execute to help the business. It is all talk and meeting that accomplish nothing.
