Pros

Recognized HPC storage company, mainly focusing on custom storage integrator around GPFS and Lustre. Selling a lot of HW gears Decent pay Some (few) great technical talent.

Cons

- Zero career path. - No real Dev, mainly integration work of open source tools and packaging. - Management is horrible, No respect for employees. - No project management, Program management are calendar admin. - Worse ever CMO. - CTO is a fake role, no vision, mainly HW focus. - Engineering is mostly done by offshore contractors (80% of it) - Going downhill since two years and it will get worse. - Positive review about DDN on Glassdoor are written by HR staff

Pros

Working in IT for over 20+ years, some companies are too big to function while some companies are too small to act. DDN has proven to be best of both worlds. We can act swiftly and effectively to most sales and support situations and have the staying power to weather tough times. There are customers who need DDN who don't know about us and it curious how we are engaged. There seems to be many types of workflows that are too extensive and it is all about finding those new opportunities.

Cons

Sometimes we can get so many people involved that no one executes. It takes some skills to insure that everyone knows who needs to be in action to resolve.

Pros

Nothing really, except that you won't be suffering alone, you will be surrounded by others just like you who made the stupid mistake of joining this piece of a company. Needless to say, I'm looking to get out, away, as far as possible.

Cons

Everything. I'm putting in a review mainly to warn potential hires: - pay attention to what others are saying over here. if you do that, you own't apply or consider a role at DDN but if you don't, then - pay attention to the interactions during the interview process, especially with HR if that's how they are treating you as a potential employee, what do you think they will do once you're hooked!
