Pros

70% discount Nice geninune coworkers You can have great middle management, in which case you are lucky but this is not the norm, this is an exception.

Cons

To say DECIEM's management is corrupt, incompetent, highly unqualified, well versed in the languages of gaslighting, racial discrimination and manipulation would be ABSOLUTELY TRUE.... yet so unoriginal. DECIEM follows the beauty corporate nightmare narrative we all have heard and know too well. They're fully dressed in "family first, kindness, positive mental health" sheep’s clothing on the outside, but on the inside, it's very much the complete opposite; greedy incompetent wolves. Imagine trying to work in a place telling you one thing and acting the total opposite; it's comparable to being in an insane asylum. Filled with power hungry toddlers who just happened to inherit a business at the right time, the company is a joke. The HR department is an enabler in all of this. They enable racial discrimination and inappropriate actions of management, to keep their jobs. I also am surprised there hasn’t been any lawsuits against them for human rights violations. It seems that the only thing management doesn’t do from their long list of accolades mentioned earlier, is actually have the mental capacity to do any form of actual work or have intelligent conversations. Evidence can be seen in the recycling promotion of old products and the lack of any innovative launches, since Brandon.

Pros

-Generous employee discount -Really nice people in general -Depending on the department your experience will be extremely different, this is a con too

Cons

Where to begin… -Lack of communication between departments is an understatement. Decisions will be made that directly impact your department and not only will your senior managers have no say, but sometimes you’ll be the last to know too. -The new yearly merit increase is extremely unclear and confusing, number seems to be done randomly. I don’t know what to tell my associates, my managers don’t know what to tell me. -“We wear many hats!!” aka it’s the norm to do quite a bit of work outside of your department and title, and no you absolutely will not be compensated for it -Disorganized and chaotic. New product launches, new features on the website, new website, new sales platform, merit increase, all of it . Deciem is just the epitome of a transitional job. Work here for 1-2 years then leave for a higher paying company.

Where should I start?

Pros

Employee discount. Very enthuastic colleagues.

Cons

Where should I start? - The pay is VERY low and "non negotiable" (according to them – it's not true). You will be asked (or tasks will be left undone until you do it yourself) to do way more than what you're supposed to and won't be compensated for it. -Management at Deciem will sugar coat every thing with kindness, especially when you speak of low pay as if smiles pay your bills, and never will get back to you about it. -Business development is done very weirdly, they are slowly starting to fall off of the wave they created in skincare because they can't stick to schedules for products nor appeal properly to their audience (I don't think they know who their actual audience is) on social media. The social media update (from @deciem to @theordinary) should have been done YEARS ago. Social Media campains don't make sense at all and the engagement is very low too. -People under 35 will be appointed "Senior Manager" or "Senior Director" for absolutely no reason (this works especially for people who've been appointed because they are friends with upper management). Targets aren't reached and people are overloaded with work but you will see someone having those Senior promotions every few months (and you should be clapping for them always – in Deciem style!). -They will make you believe that Deciem is all about career growth, they will tell you to focus on development, say they have those tools to boost your career but no proper follow up is done. You will not get that promotion! -At DECIEM, you will also see a lot of those videocalls that only Upper management has time to attend, you will be bombarded with emails, inviting you to see *random Member of Upper Management* speak about their careers. It's just a bunch of people hearing each other speak meanwhile this time could be used for helping your overworked teams. It lowkey sounds like a cult sometimes... -Bonuses are inexistant but targets are still there
