DENSO's U.S. affiliates have a common FMLA policy. FMLA is a federal law that requires employers of our size to allow up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave per year to care for one’s self, a spouse, child, or for baby bonding within the first year of birth. In order to qualify for FMLA, there's a minimum requirement 12 months of service and a total of 1,250 hours in the 12 months leading up to the leave. Working at DENSO 3 years makes you eligible for this policy. Additionally, your affiliate site offers the CARE program that runs concurrent with FMLA, and allows for up to 10 days of paid leave to care for a family member. The CARE program may be used for baby bonding. Please contact your local HR dept. to discuss your eligibility!
