Yearly Increase guaranteed 2 Years Promotion guaranteed Lots of Allowances but still taxable Good Environment / Friendly CO workers

Cons

Yearly Increase is not based on performance / productivity Not a competitive environment due to auto promotion Increasing more on allowances than base pay Lots of WORK to render Overtime almost every day

Pros

The training for new hires are great. The trainings are intensive almost like you are a student again. There is a free nihonggo training.

Cons

No work life balance. OT is part of the culture. Batch promotion and increase. Saturday work. Low starting salary Most of all the specification are in japanese.
