Micromanage like you are a prisoner

Pros

People really try their absolute best, they are consistently hiring.

Cons

This company does not care about their employees whatsoever. They overwork their staff rather than training more people. Micromanaging runs rampant. Expect to be watched and monitored at all times and don't expect to be treated like a trustworthy adult. Advancement opportunities of any kind do not currently exist within the department. Would never recommend any of my friends or family to work here.

Pros

Great place to learn and build your processing skills. You will pretty much have the experience of a junior underwriter after 1 year. Lots of resources for help (UWing helpsdesk. Mgt training Team and lots more. You can work your files from home (if needed). Great Company over all.

Cons

LPs can be over worked at times. OT is watched closely so you feel pressured at time to work for free to avoid being questioned about your time. To many checklists. I feel at times the checklist are in place to ensure other departments do their jobs (Underwriting & Closing). QC & QR reviewers are not very knowledgeable at times. I find my self using valuable time to address findings that are not valid or accurate. Receiving an inaccurate fail in the middle of a busy day can be very discouraging and just messes up your flow. To many trainings being scheduled around quarter end and fiscal year end. At time I've had to put a file aside that urgently needed my attention because of a scheduled mandatory training. Firing coworkers that have been with the company for over 2years in the middle of the day (just walking then out) , then providing no explanation till weeks later is very messy and just brings down the over all moral of the other processors. These are people we've known for over 2 years. It should be done more respectfully and if done so publically, please address immediately so ppl don't worry about their jobs. Getting considered for another position can tough if you don't know people in the company. They tend to promote people that are well known and liked within the company.
