Pros

Good pay and bonuses when I first started. Hours not too demanding.

Cons

They stopped giving bonuses at the end of 2016. Factory is not run well, and is often behind on production, so engineers would often have to work as assemblers for months at a time.

Pros

The people you work with are great. Lots of cool machines and engineering being done here

Cons

If you want a promotion you are forced to take a test. The test is poorly translated from Japanese. The test is only offered twice a year....except when they cancel it (which they do a lot). No make-ups offered. I actually missed one test because they made me travel to a customer, but didn't offer me a make-up date. Tons of red tape for the smallest tasks. Employees are made responsible for "reducing costs" but then management makes decisions that cost the company millions of dollars. In the past 5 years, I've seen maybe 2 or 3 people actually enjoy their job at this company. Forced to use outdated systems, and then punished when the task isn't done fast enough.

Pros

great machines, many talented and hard working people.

Cons

Reporting can be a hassle in the field. Too much of an emphasis on logging hours towards jobs, I may be wrong but it seems service managers have pressure on them to make sure service engineers have 100% of their hours logged towards work orders which results in unnecessary forced trips. I believe that more time should be dedicated to training for seasoned engineers while the newer engineers be coupled with the seasoned engineers as much as possible. Instead the apprentice level engineers get all the good stuff while the seasoned guys get , job, job, job, while working mostly by themselves. At least that was my experience, still a solid employer so I'm sure others have had a different experience depending on the office.
