Too much micro-managing, mainly solely focused on support. 3 managers and 1 support supervisor, none of these people have technical backgrounds, not 1 and this is a software company. The support supervisor will not be able to assist in phone calls. You are the bottom-feeders in support. Was told customers berating/abusing reps would not be tolerated, this is false. Have to raise your hand to go to the bathroom. Training was a mess. It was literally whoever picked the short straw that day and went in a room with all the trainees (they hire in classes (yes this should be a red flag) and some were excellent and others simply went through the motions. The people who passed and did best on the tests were people who found the answers on the network drive. The training made learning the proprietary software especially difficult to learn. A former educator trainee offered assistance on a number of occasions, and was rudely responded to. No room for growth, not if you are in support, that is all you will ever be. As a female, I felt harassed by a certain male techs, another female shared that she reported a tech sending her pics of his privates, he was one of the techs that came on to me, I felt this was acceptable behavior for this company, since he still retained his position, and was even promoted to Team Leader. As a student they were not at all flexible during training, training was like months, so this created conflicts that were up to me to resolve. For some classes they however let me leave a bit early since I started during a current semester. No certification reimbursement. IT certifications do not matter here, guess this can be pro depending on your goals. A lot of nepotism, it's who you know and can be quite clicky.
