The Worst Boss I've Ever Had!

Pros

Great mission. Very rewarding work if you are passionate about mentoring inner city youth.

Cons

Where do I begin? Every decision made by supervisors is driven by data. The staff that works directly with the community has no voice. My boss was there for the paycheck. He was lazy, sexist, and did not care about the kids. No one took him seriously and everyones work ethic continued to dwindle as we watched him get away with nonsense. At one point he told our staff that men were providers and women should stay at home and do nothing. When I tried to remind him that most of his staff were young women, he just talked over me. After that episode it was over for all of us. Even though everyone showed up for work everyday they were all somewhere else.

Stress free money, no room for growth

Pros

Easy, stress free, rewarding, low pressure. Work you're doing matters in helping inner city kids.

Cons

No room for growth. They cannot claim to be an organization that values college education, but then have people with no degree in full time positions, while regulating college graduates to part time roles.
