Pros

Some employees were great to work with and respectful.

Cons

- The work quickly wears you down, and compensation barely keeps up with basic living. - No flexibility or meaningful conversation, with an unspoken expectation to be grateful for the position. - Constant pressure creates anxiety and makes you second-guess yourself. - Leadership operates as a tight inner circle, taking credit for work others actually complete. - Long hours are treated as normal while extra effort goes unacknowledged, and setting boundaries backfires. - Feedback cycles are slow, expectations shift, and advancement feels intentionally blocked. - Pay stagnates while living expenses rise, demanding ongoing personal sacrifice. - During financial or work challenges, support is minimal, showing employees are low on the priority list. -The overall environment leaves employees exhausted, discouraged, and mentally drained.

They give you real responsibility and trust

Pros

I was given ownership of a part of a major project fairly quickly. My managers set clear goals but trust me to figure out the best technical path to get there. I get to interact directly with our government clients to understand their needs. Having that level of trust and responsibility is satisfying. It makes me want to deliver my best work.

Cons

Zero margin for error, the documentation requirements are very thorough and detailed.
