Very few companies know how to hold on to their consultants, and this is one of them. I've had a solid contract for two years, with the same client, same team, and same mission. I know who to call when something needs fixing. This kind of stability matters more to me than chasing high-profile projects.

Sometimes slow reaction to requests for additional support

Hostile, sexist managers!

None! You do not want to work here. Trust me!

Cons

Management is filled with incompetent, hostile, sexist pigs! It's already difficult enough having to keep up with brutal workloads and long hours, but having to work under bigots makes everything a thousand times more miserable!

Pros

Leadership big on trust -- you're allowed to handle your responsibilities as you see fit. Managers easy to talk to and ready to explain things when questions come up. Support while you're learning new tasks and skills. Job that has helped me become more confident and grow as a professional without feeling pressured.

Can get messy when strategies change mid-project
