The network has finally opened up opportunities for staff in operations to also further their education and be able to move towards higher positions.

Pros

I started here last July 23rd, 2024 which was my very first day attending the training. The very first person I met was our School Director Ms Fav and I really felt her warm welcome. Now it's my 2nd year and I can say that DSST family provides a truly supportive and collaborative environment for educators. The admin team is incredibly helpful and invested in the success of both teachers and students. I'm so lucky to have Ms Grim as my coach. I learned a lot from her. Every Wednesday there's a strong emphasis on professional development, offering clear pathways for growth and opportunities to improve your skills. The school culture is also very positive and focused on students well-being.

Cons

My primary concern is the salary. While the overall experience is great, the compensation is not aligned with the DPS salary schedule which have significant pay disparity for teachers in Denver area. Experienced teachers with advance degrees (MA or PhD) can received the maximum salary of around 78,000 annually.
