Pros

Most of the people are pretty easy going. The schedules have gotten worse in recent years but everyone has been pitching in and get it done. Despite some of the growing pains everyone has really tried to keep this company going.

Cons

The previously mentioned schedules are one of the main problems. Upper management has become so out of touch with what it takes to get projects out that it has become nearly unbearable at best, impossible at worst. Couple that with a CEO that is clearly out of his league and you have a recipe for layoffs and a company in distress. Some of the the layoffs have finally happened but it will be unfortunate that more people will probably have to go before we lose this disgrace that is the CEO and much of the senior leadership. As another reviewer pointed out, this senior leadership is largely composed of an "old boys club" or some new people that are better at talking than doing.

We value and consider all feedback and we’ll find ways to improve but I wanted to address your specific concerns here. Due to our growth, we have restructured our organization and brought in new leaders who are tasked with solving issues and improving our project management processes. We are committed to our employees and customers so if there is specific information you would like to share with me, I would like to discuss this with you in further detail.

Pros

Actually seeing your work in production and how it benefits your customers. Talented engineers and developers to bolster experience. Projects are very diversified so you get a broad array of exposure to different customers/environments.

Cons

There are a lot of "fluff" positions and upper management is top-heavy. Requirements to projects are so loosely defined that customers take advantage and scope grows beyond realistic deadlines. This requires engineers and developers to work a lot of overtime to meet expectations. Pay is not in line with industry standards. Hard to take time-off without affecting current projects.
