      Pros

      Paid higher base salaries, have a good pipeline of new products to launch over the next 3-5 years and the ability to get promoted.

      Cons

      Many new positions or promotions being obtained from outside of the company, limited and hard to attain sales goals with certain products and not supporting the outside sales force with samples or promo materials on all existing products.

      This would be a position for someone that is just trying to get into the industry and is not concerned with having long term commitment.

      Cons

      Weak leadership. Lack of communication. No pipeline. No job security. Several layoffs.

      The good, the bad and the ugly

      Pros

      The benefits were excellent and they offered very competitive salaries. The home office had a fairly good work/life balance with a positive family culture. The building is very nice with an in-house cafeteria and gym.

      Cons

      They had a very clubby "good-ol-boy" leadership team. While prior issues have likely been handled, the company maintained a glacial pace to correct compliance issues. There is obviously a very limited portfolio left now. Massive recent rounds of down-sizing may have had a negative effect on work-load and morale.
