They have me my break into pharma, and for that I am grateful.

Cons

Very low starting salary as compared to other pharma companies. The management I had was very discriminative towards women, but treated the men like royalty. I worked there for almost 3 years and went through 3 restructures. Poor pipeline of products.

Pros

I met some great coworkers during my short tenure at Daiichi Sankyo. The company offered good benefits with employment along with an enjoyable training program.

Cons

The major con I have to share is the fact that I was hired by this company and laid off within six months. The company still hired hundreds of sales reps knowing lay offs would shortly follow. The company was extremely disorganized and greatly lacked strategic leadership. Further more I was lied to throughout my tenure and was told this company was in great standing when it wasn't. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST WORKING HERE.

Japanese culture a pleasure in terms of cordiality and what what is considered respectful behavior. Compensation extremely competitive.

Cons

Decision-making is vague at best. No true leadership. Want to be innovative pharma but don't want any help getting there.
