Pros

Was a good company to work for 6 months ago.

Cons

Laid off high preforming teams with a very subpar severance packing going into the holidays.

Pros

- decent WLB - director level and below are generally friendly and good at what they do - company is in hyper growth and has good career growth opportunities - nice office - hybrid work

Cons

- lower comp than other traditional tech companies - the culture here is very much a "do don't ask" culture. senior leadership is incompetent... There needs to be more transparency from leadership as to why decisions are being made - very political. you will not get visibility/promotion unless you are "in" - corporate/consulting/I-banking like culture. different from previous tech companies I've worked at. has a very slow, waterfall process with lots of red tape - there is a lot of talent sourced from HR/payroll/consulting space. not much experience from people who worked in tech... I could see how you would think this is a great tech company if this was your first one. reality is the company has a long way to go to in terms of culture and process

Pros

Nice people, good benefits, unlimited PTO, great product potential

Cons

This company had an incredible culture under the founders, but things began to decline when new leadership joined in mid-2022 when the founders and original C suite left. Over the past 18 months, even more layers of new leadership were brought many of whom were hired and trained by those brought on by new leadership that came on in 2022. As a result, they never truly understood or carried forward the company’s original values or culture. Longtime employees with deep knowledge and experience were overlooked, and significant structural changes were made without meaningful input. Roles were narrowed, team scopes drastically shifted, and many people found themselves in jobs that no longer resembled what they were originally hired to do. In some cases were diminished and growth is no longer there. The level of micromanagement is awful. The sense of purpose, autonomy, and collaboration that once defined the company has largely been lost. In addition, it’s very difficult to move to other teams and it seems easier to interview for jobs externally at this point.
