Pros

experience and allows one to build strengths for ones resume. Discounted food and free drinks on the job. Once one gets in routine job is easy and basically most customers order same type of ice cream.

Cons

If you cant handle dealing with kids and senior citizens then dont work here. Will be covered in ice cream by the time you get off work. Dedication of employees is not that high

Pros

Discount on food when you're working Easy job if you're a fast learner Its a good fast food job, and as long as you keep to yourself, be nice to people, have a high tolerance for gossips and favorites, and have Dairy Queen food for lunch every once in a while, you'll be alright. Theres also ice cream, so its great for working during the summer.

Cons

Unstable, dirty, and stressful work environment No discount on food when you're not working Not enough training Working at Dairy Queen was alright at first, but after my first two days of training I was left by myself to take orders from the counter and drive-thru. The whole work environment was messy and unorganized. And, on a personal note, the manager of the Dairy Queen I had worked at had allowed her favorite employees to take extended breaks and would even take them shopping while they were still on the clock, leaving the rest of us to cover for them. And they encourage you to eat their food on and off the job so they can deduct from your pay and leave you with barely any money in your check. If you refuse, they get frustrated.
