A very stressfull place to work especially if no extensive training is offered
Pros
Being able to make a famous DQ cone
Cons
"lacks the adequate equipment and employees to quickly serve customers"(company had only 1 drivethru window, how can you blend icecream in a loud blender and hear the customer at the drive-thru? Then you have to press down on the speaker button, which was very staticky, to hear the customer meaning you can't multitask while taking orders. "only two people working on drivethru, 1 person responsible for taking orders and making icecream, while all the other person does is takes cash" (this is a negative because the person had to stop what they were doing to take the order then go go back to making sometimes 5 blizzards per customer, yea the drivethru was backed up!) "only a half a day of training " ( in canada and in some states they train for weeks thats why they are a able to successfully franchise) it takes a while to master the DQ cone "there is a new icecream flavor to make almost every month with 4 different ingredients in it and almost 20 flavors in all to remember " (i would often skimp on ingredients and hope the customer didn't notice) "the owner made us clean like we were professional janitors" "had to turn in a doctor's excuse to take off "(would you rather me come in coughing on the customer's food, cause i'm not going to pay $25 for a doctor to tell me I have a cold?) "couldn't get a discount on food not for your family or for yourself"
