The Dust Will Settle Under the New Reorg of Dallas College
Pros
Under the Dallas College there opportunities to pursue your degrees, move into new positions and add new skillsets. We are not perfect but have reorg from Dallas County Community College District to Dallas College and with that comes new opportunities for advancement and challenges to overcome. I have been with the Dallas College since 1988 and it has continued to make the necessary changes to meet the needs of the community and remain competitive in the marketplace.
Cons
Since reorganizing in 2020, we face many challenges but with a supportive new Chancellor we will succeed and move his mission and vision forward. We can focus on the challenges as opportunities to bring our talents and skillsets to the table to make Dallas College better than it has been or we can look at the challenges as a negative and never give ourselves the chance to be the best we can be for the Dallas College, our students and community.
