      Great company to learn adjunct skills and expand your experience but somewhat parochial in its management style.

      Pros

      Good "people" company which is directly related to it's Danish culture. Allows employees to expand their skills and provides an environment to grow personally and professionally.

      Cons

      IT systems and infrastructure are poor. Has a "not invented here" mentality when it comes to progressively updating their processes, tools (IT and software) and programs. Very locked into "in sourcing" activities that are not core to the business and they do not do well.

      Pros

      The only pro about working for Danfoss was my direct manager. The BEST EVER and the ONLY reason I stayed as long as I did.

      Cons

      All of the old timers cannot stand new people with new ideas, even though the company went out looking for new people with a new thought process. Start things that are never finished, talk stuff to death. Sr management is VERY unprofessional. HR and Sr. Management allow things to go on there that will destroy people's lives and they just sweep it under the rug and expect people to just work like nothing happened. Very NASTY people in the company who talk down to EVERYONE all the time and no one does anything about it.

      Pros

      Great people to work with, challenging work, and opportunities for advancement. Salary was fair for Ames,Ia. Technology systems were current. Good work/life balance with the company - long days were the outliers.

      Cons

      Politics were obvious in some areas. Poor middle management for reviews, performance feedback. Some areas did not pull their weight with the company.
