Pros

The pros to working for Darden restaurant group was the flexible schedules and the management working with you on your schedule. The management was also very fair when it came to not picking favorites.

Cons

The cons to working for Darden is the nature of the work. Restaurant work is not for everyone. It can be very stressful and it sometimes feels like the company is more committed to guest counts rather than the well being of employees.

Pros

Great managers who treated everyone with respect, decent money, good benefits, mostly fun coworkers, flexable schedule.

Cons

Rude customers, bad tippers, some crabby/cranky coworkers, tons of rules/things you are required to do since it's a corporate restaurant (ex: must use tray even for one drink, must greet tables with wine bottle, etc)

Pros

Great work environment and pretty good staff. Darden owns six concepts and is the largest restaurant group in the world.

Cons

As in any other restaurant in the industry the hours the allow you to have any life outside of the restaurant. Budget cuts wont allow them to hire more managers so that you can have a quality of life.
