Pros

-good amount of responsibility early on, get to speak to C-level executives and speak at marketing events which helps you grow your speaking and sales skills tremendously (but you can do this in most tech sales jobs tbh) -nice working with people your age

Cons

-As a person of color, i feel like there was a massive lack of diversity that was missing, not in NY office but definitely in the company as a whole -bagels that are catered are always stale -executives could care less about you, they see you as just a number. Its also the blind leading the blind over there, just get new hires like a revolving door, like cogs in a machine -no real career growth, you can become a "manager" and do countless amount of work but you get paid peanuts for it -major disparity in salary even for same position -disorganized mess in terms of sales territory which cause clients to become angry when multiple sales people reach out to the same person -lack of inspiration in the company or transparency -the marketing team makes AEs do their job for them

Pros

- Culture: High energy, fast paced, young, social, super supportive (which can be rare in sales) - Renumeration/ Compensation: Uncapped earning potential, very favorable commission structure, achievable targets - Work/Life Balance: Great, the team is very flexible on working arrangements as long as you are performing you can fit in whatever activities, appointments or trips you like (very outcome focused rather than hours/days focused). - Product: Darktrace's software is world leading and honestly it's not overly difficult to sell because there is no one else in the world doing what we are doing. With no direct competitor the tech sells itself. - Sales process: Very quick sales process which, makes it a very exciting environment to work in. You are in charge of the full sales process from lead gen to closing the deal/ ongoing account management. There are resources e.g. inside sales, to help you manage all your workflow but its awesome getting to control the whole sales process as its like running your own little business. - Management: So incredibly supportive, you also have direct access to everyone in the firm including the CEO, so an amazing amount of resources and mentors at your fingers. - Perks: Training overseas in Cambridge, San Fran or Singapore, health care included, awesome office at Australia Square with view of the Harbour Bridge

Cons

None - although this job would not suit someone who is passive in nature and likes having their hand held throughout the entire process. Need to be a self starter and motivated!

Pros

Tons of independence and flexibility of your own schedule. Ability to quickly climb and gain promotions. Great team to work with and for. Flat structure so that all levels are able to have a voice.

Cons

Lots of travel when you’re an account executive. Not just a 9-5 but reward those who work hard.
