Pros

- Innovative company. - Good product, premium range. - Fast deal flow helps exposure to a range of clients. - Young and dynamic environment. Staff mostly made of fresh grads. - Hyper growing company so you are likely to be exposed to articulate development stages collapsed in few weeks/months. - Entry point into cyber security industry for fresh grads.

Cons

- Salaries significantly below industry average. - No performance indicators, “subjective meritocracy”. Little or no performance reviews. - It is relatively unusual to get equity - you are unlikely to benefit directly from growth, which can be frustrating. - Company is at its maturity stage so key roles are taken. - Poor management with no structured or sustainable expansion plan. - Learning curve flattens very quickly. Business model hinges on young grads undertaking repetitive tasks. The ultra flat structure and business model puts a heavy burden on staff. - Sales driven organisation. Little rewards for roles other than sales.

Pros

You will feel cool... for at least 20 minutes. You'll be employed but you won't have a happy existence.

Cons

Micromanagement at it's finest. Management changes it's mind on a whim and expects you to have read their mind after changing policy (and made when you dont know). They only hire attractive people from ivy league schools and do not value diversity. In fact, you'll probably make a lot less if you are not a white man. If you discuss your compensation with colleagues, leadership gets annoyed. Don't let the few women in positions of "power" fool you, they are just puppets to the man. No matter how big your deals are, you will never be valued. What have you done today is the mantra of Darktrace. Weekly sales calls take long and they are just for forecasting.. not to actually help you succeed. You will not get proper training and your managers have never been trained either. Sales engineers feel as though they rule the land and can determine whether or not your deal goes through based on how they feel that day.
