Pros

Darktrace is accelerating at 100 mph - some find the pace of work dizzying, others thrive. If you are looking to cruise along in a highly-structured role with a predictable day-to-day, then this isn’t the company for you. If, however, you are looking for a challenge, job diversity and the opportunity to work with truly talented people, Darktrace is well worth considering. While the rate of growth means expectations are high, it is genuinely exciting to be part of something challenging the status quo. Cyber security is a fantastic space to be in currently and there is big demand for intelligent technology. A definite meritocracy, hard workers are promoted in half the time it takes in larger corporations. Fresh grads work closely with senior management, are given substantial responsibility and the freedom to do things their way to achieve results. Decisions result in quick action without pointless process. Account Executives interact with top-level staff from a wide range of industries, getting the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally. Personally, I have made some great friends at Darktrace and have learnt a tremendous amount. With many different projects on the go, I really value the breadth of experience I get from my job. Of course you have to take the highs with the lows – but that’s life!

Cons

Employees are expected to throw themselves in and ask questions – a learning approach which doesn’t suit everyone. If you like strict hours, a set routine and clear progression, Darktrace will not give you this. You will be pushed and it can be hard juggling what sometimes seems like a million urgent things at once, but ultimately it comes down to the kind of person you are and what gets you out of bed in the morning.

Pros

Working at Darktrace is incredibly exciting and challenging. The company is doing really well and growing rapidly - and the product we sell is really unique in the industry. The work is dynamic and never boring. Employees are expected to really own their work, which gives us a lot of responsibility. You also get a direct line to the executives who really make themselves available to the employees -- I don't know of another company where you get to work side by side with C-level executives and even board members (especially in an entry level position). They throw you into the deep end but the result is really valuable and you learn so much about growing and scaling a business. The culture is demanding but hard work is rewarded generously and swiftly -- a lot of the sales reps have already been promoted to regional managers in less than a year. It's pretty clear that if you put in the work, you can go far in this company. My co-workers are amazing -- we are pretty tight-knit and hang out a lot after work. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better experience post-college. I've learned more than I could have ever imagined at a first job and I think the room for upward mobility is higher than at any other place I could have worked.

Cons

The company is growing really, really fast and the fast-paced and demanding culture isn't for everyone. Like others have mentioned, this job really suits people who thrive with a lot of autonomy and less hierarchy or set-in-stone culture. Others may prefer a more structured or established environment. As with all companies that are growing this quickly, there can be bumps in the road. It all really comes down to knowing yourself and what you want in a job.

Pros

-Good work/life balance. 9hr day. -I had a great manager and she really fought for our team.

Cons

-Imagine a world without any organizational/productivity/collaborative technology. -High pressure to hit numbers leading to low-quality output from about many individuals. -Never had an executive ask for ways we could improve. It was a one-way street where commands were sent down the ladder.
