-Relaxed work atmosphere; truly a 9-5 atmosphere -Small campus allows you to interact with many different departments -Lots of employee perks being at a university -Decent pay/benefits

Cons

-Hard place to be a young professional in an undergraduate-focused environment -Rare advancement opportunities... People seem to stay in their positions at Dartmouth FOREVER -Incredibly bureaucratic; there are 2-3 people doing what 1 capable person could do

Pros

Dartmouth is a prestigious place to work and has great health and education and retirement benefits. Dartmouth College is supportive of educational advancement. Dartmouth College is a pretty campus. You have access to a lot of mental stimulation. Hanover has very little crime. DHMC is close by and provides a lot of access to highly trained medical personnel. Lebanon is a wonderful small town to raise a family. West Lebanon has a lot of retail shops and restaurants and the Upper Valley is a thriving area.

Cons

It is hard to advance from within at Dartmouth. They prefer to hire people from other colleges for senior positions unless the person is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
