Pros

Guaranteed at least 40 hours a week for pretty much all positions. The benefits are decent. Weekends off (usually).

Cons

I'm not sure if it is due to lack of communication between cooperate and production or just plain mismanagement but this is the most poorly run company I have been a part of. It would take forever to go into all the details but in short as one of the other recent reviews states, nobody is on the same page! An obvious example is the scheduling for the VA contract employees over the past two weeks. We were coming up short of hitting our goals for the month so mandatory overtime was required which for first shift starts at 4:45 in the morning...or should I say night. We were also "threatened" that if we didn't get enough done we would have to work this Saturday which would ruin most people's Memorial Day weekend plans. After the lack of sleep and fear of what was to come it was announced to us at the last minute on Thursday that because we had been going thru so much work, there is now a shortage of new material. Everyone was told to go home and that overtime was canceled meaning we had all survived two weeks of misery for absolutely nothing. Sometimes mistakes happen but this is a frequent occurrence at this company. One other note, the majority of employees here are burned out and looking for new jobs. Unfortunately this area doesn't have much to offer. If it did they would have to either double our pay or use temp agencies (which they actually have in the past) to get anyone to show up.
