Terrible

Pros

Pay and benefits are decent for the area

Cons

A few years ago this was a decent company to work for but ever since it won a large contract with the VA it has been going downhill at a rapid pace. The work itself for the DP1 position is fairly easy to pickup especially if you have a good memory but it gets extremely boring after the first couple months. The work environment is poor. You are forced to stand 8 hours a day (soon to be 10) at a tiny desk, literally side by side with your coworkers, and write in an awkward position as fast as you can because keeping your job depends on it. In addition to being in constant pain from what I just described you have to deal the majority of coworkers behaving like they are still in high school. People talking behind each others backs, flirting, ranting, raving, you hear it all here. The management seems to be either incompetent or perhaps they just don't care. Nothing is planned, organized, or explained in a professional manner. The HR is even worse though. Their whole purpose is to run you around in circles until you give up on whatever issue you are having. The cooperate HR may be better but at the production facilities barely trained assistants are running the show. I'm not sure if the assistants even understand their obligation to confidentiality from what I have personally seen from their handling of information. To sum it up do NOT take a job here unless you have tried everywhere else.

It Pays, Kinda

Pros

Supervisors and HR listen, PTO increases with length of employment, insurance coverage is good, the workplace is clean and well maintained.

Cons

Pay is piece rate, and the piece rate is set so that the slowest person makes just above minimum wage. Short notice overtime is common and it is sitting at a desk for 8 to 10 hours a day, typing as fast as you can for minimum wage.

CRAZY PLACE....LOW MORALE!!

Pros

Pay is decent. Met some good people. PTO is ok. They do good things for the community. I think if you work at corporate, you are treated better than the others. No drug testing but gotta have a background check...I guess that makes sense. Hmmm.

Cons

Corporate is out of touch with the "regular" people. They want the workers to not question anything. You are suppose to trust them with everything. It's a joke. You can't figure out your paycheck. They can't make it simple. Piece rate is unfair. Piece rate is for jobs that are the same every day. They tell you that it all will even out. It doesn't. If you are lucky to get a good box every day you can make decent money...but it doesn't work like that. The company people make decisions at corporate and have no clue what goes on. You never see anyone. They keep the supervisors at a desk all day, so they have no idea what goes on either. I feel bad for them. They take the brunt for everything. Nothing is done fair there. If someone likes you, you might get a created position. People that had trouble making piece rate, got jobs that paid more without the stress. Never worked in such a stressful place. You worry every day about the kind of box you will get. It isn't a healthy work environment. People are getting fired or are just leaving all the time. It doesn't matter if you are a good worker, show up every day and on time....they don't care about work ethic.
