Mismanagement

Pros

Guaranteed at least 40 hours a week for pretty much all positions. The benefits are decent. Weekends off (usually).

Cons

I'm not sure if it is due to lack of communication between cooperate and production or just plain mismanagement but this is the most poorly run company I have been a part of. It would take forever to go into all the details but in short as one of the other recent reviews states, nobody is on the same page! An obvious example is the scheduling for the VA contract employees over the past two weeks. We were coming up short of hitting our goals for the month so mandatory overtime was required which for first shift starts at 4:45 in the morning...or should I say night. We were also "threatened" that if we didn't get enough done we would have to work this Saturday which would ruin most people's Memorial Day weekend plans. After the lack of sleep and fear of what was to come it was announced to us at the last minute on Thursday that because we had been going thru so much work, there is now a shortage of new material. Everyone was told to go home and that overtime was canceled meaning we had all survived two weeks of misery for absolutely nothing. Sometimes mistakes happen but this is a frequent occurrence at this company. One other note, the majority of employees here are burned out and looking for new jobs. Unfortunately this area doesn't have much to offer. If it did they would have to either double our pay or use temp agencies (which they actually have in the past) to get anyone to show up.

BEWARE OF THIS HORRID PLACE!

Pros

I'm trying to come up with a pro to this place and am coming up empty. If I could put zero stars I would.

Cons

Can I say everything? Nobody says anything to anybody. They look like robots and never smile and say hi to co-workers. Training is absolutely abhorrent. They get angry at you if you mess up something-ON THE FIRST DAY! Their processes are ridiculous and now I see first hand why people get out of this place so quickly. I left for home crying more often than not. I would rather be unemployed than work at this dismal place. Horrid benefit package. Gives you a day's notice if there's overtime. Employees do have lives and families to work around. Give more notice.

Pros

The pay is about average for this area, you get full benefits including medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, etc. Flexibility on taking breaks when you like and most overtime is worked during the week if necessary. Sundays are always off.

Cons

Too much overtime with very little notice. No raises based on time worked, in fact there have been several pay cuts since I started. The management often treats employees like little kids, consistently repeating the same things over and over in a belittling tone.
