Pros

The people I worked with worked their butts off knowing it helped veterans, and made the day enjoyable and productive.

Cons

There is a strong culture of "work-til-you-drop" that isn't matched by any rewards system, financial or otherwise. This is evident in both professional and production level positions. I saw people having fifty hour weeks as the norm for the IT department. Some had 60, some more. It's not unusual at all to work part of the weekend. There are frequent layoffs of good, effective workers. Fear of this is a tool wielded implicitly against you. I don't like when a director engages in the bad-mouthing of employees, but it certainly happens. Upper management seems to have no concept of what makes someone want to work for a company, other than a paycheck, and apparently doesn't care either. It took a while to realize that some of the directors really aren't leaders. They are just people that managed to survive there the longest. The 401k contribution by the company is pitiful. It may as well not exist. Health insurance is nominal. Not great, not terrible.

Pros

The company helps different organizations in the community. Got to meet some quality people. The building looks nice. I like my boss.

Cons

Piece rate is unfair. There are too many variables to be a piece rate job. Stuck on jobs forever. The new people get the open jobs that others that have been there for years want. The company gives you a 6 minute leeway at the start of your shift before you are considered late. Nice in theory, if it was used as intended. Company complains if people are out of the room a couple minutes more than allotted for in a day but some employees use their six minute leeway every single day. These people have never once been clocked in and been there at the work area at the scheduled work time. Everyone knows who they are. Add this time up and see how much work time is lost!! It angers people that show up on time every day. Good for morale? It's a joke. I have read on here the responses from the company to put suggestions in. They don't take them seriously. Management only cares if it affects them somehow. People have given up on this.

The Work culture is not good. They don’t care unless you are an executive, long hours, not organized, don’t appreciate your hard work.
