Pros

My direct deposit paycheck was always deposited on time. There is a pool table in one of the break rooms.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the image they try to present. It is all window-dressing and an emperor with no clothes. The only managers that have not been fired are the ones that tell the Sociopath CEO what he wants to hear. This is an organization ruled by greed and paranoia. If you are looking for long hours, little thanks, no support and to have your job threatened on a weekly basis, you will love DSI. Otherwise, don't give them the time of day.

Pros

Solid culture with some good people if you are lucky enough to end up in the right group.

Cons

It's all about who you know, not what you do. Priorities and directions change on a whim, long term vision is very fluid. Communication and transparency with employees is below average at best. Too many people that are managers because they have been there for years that don't have the ability to manage.

Pros

Good office space and good teammates. You get to go to work, earn a paycheck, do what you like to do, and work with peers you like to work with. If you keep your head down and just do your job, it can be a decent place. Good product and good people working behind the company to support it.

Cons

The peers are great to work with but the management teams are not. There is a no-nonsense and unforgiving micro-management focus on employees. Most of the people are here for the pay but aren't in positions to excel. Questions to leadership get ignored, dismissed, or shunned. Employees get laughed at for their ideas. All in all, people like what they do here but get little support and respect. Middle management is diverse in this regard with many of them trying to walk to line of being supportive to their subordinates and doing what the leadership commands. The leadership is different. They're not supportive and they don't appreciate the people who work for them. No 401k match and the bonus program is set-up to limit employees bonus potential. Some managers even tell people they can't exceed but can only meet their goals. Some people make good money. Other people are paid less than their peers of equal background. Limited advancement opportunities unless you are a favored employee.
