Pros

The Power & Light office location, and the physical office itself are both a huge draw. Presents very well to prospects and those looking to come on board as an employee. Most, if not all, of the team on the front line that I worked with were truly good people. Unfortunately that isn't true up the ranks.

Cons

The grass definitely is not greener on the other side. Commute to/from the office is a bit of a pain. Parking is expensive and not covered as a benefit. As noted by previous posters, how many firms do you know have an active reputation management practice? That really says it all about DSI. No work / life balance. Expect to be on 24x7. The inside joke is PTO is Pretend Time Off. Unfortunately it is not a joke, it's true. Constant changes in direction, messes with both corporate and personal success. You'll receive little or no career progression opportunities or salary adjustments and may often find yourself in a role that doesn't meet your skill set or career desires. And give it a few months, your role and manager will change. Don't expect much feedback on performance, unless you do something perceived as negative. In all my years there I received very few quarterly reviews and they were subjective and inaccurate, used solely as a chance to beat me down. Get your variable compensation plan in writing before you accept an offer. They didn't do it when I hired on, nor for anyone I knew who came on after me. I was under a verbal plan until 12/31 of my first year there and subsequent years a plan was mentioned, never formalized and never paid out.

Pros

I’ve worked other customer success positions, prior to DSI, and I prefer working with DSI customers on solving their supply chain problems. I didn’t come into DSI with a wealth of knowledge on supply chain processes, but COVID presented truly unique supply chain challenges across basically all industries. It’s also exciting to know we have an extensive international base of clients with their own unique problems as well. It’s been a learning experience to say the least to keep up with a constantly changing industry.

Cons

Communication could be improved. Sometimes I feel like I’m a little late to the party.

Pros

Decent pay depending on the person.

Cons

DSI upper management is very out of touch with most employees. The direction of the company is all over the place. Employees are regularly put down and under appreciated. Don’t take my word for the negatives though. I encourage anyone considering a career here to reach out to a few ex employees on LinkedIn and ask for input.
