Pros

Pretty easy work. It's basically like doing homework and getting paid. Some of the projects are fun and interesting to do.

Cons

You have to pass a test to be able to work for Data Annotation. Sometimes the work is tedious and boring.

Pros

You're effectively paid to take time to study a field of your interest, so long as you can train an AI in it. For science, engineering, maths, law, finance and medical topics tasks are valued from £30/hr and the work is available fairly consistently

Cons

You have no contract, and there's no promise that a project you loved doing today/wanted to do today will be available on your dashboard tomorrow. You have no contact with people managing you. And you're helping improve a technology which is, at best, morally grey.
