Pros
DataRobot has been my first experience in a Start Up and I love it thus far. Everyone is extremely smart and, therefore, management empowers them to make decisions based on their intuition. This has been the most fulfilling aspect of the work so far - the ability to truly have an impact and feel rewarded for those contributions. Other things I like: -Flat hierarchy = plenty of collaboration and exposure to all levels of the organization -Fast paced where days tend to fly by -Culture: everyone is committed to what they are responsible for so there is a sense of a shared goal/vision
Cons
It takes a lot of commitment to work the long hours required at times. The lack of structure may not fit all personality types.

Pros
The percentage of smart and skilled people is very high. There are many excellent engineers who can solve technical problems of any level. You can develop an excellent networking because people gathered in the company with a wide range of work experience and skills. Free food.
Cons
CEO is engaged in micromanagement, but due to his constant overburden with work, he does not go into details. It is difficult to prove the CEO at anything, he just doesn't listen. If we multiply his aggressiveness by people's fearing to object to him, we will get a corporate culture where everyone does only what the CEO says. As I said, very low culture, company is a revolving door, they hire many people and many of them disappear as fast as they get into the company. No adequate HR and support. No feedback at your work. You never knew what you did right or wrong.
