Pros

remarkable and caring colleagues and team

Cons

At every company meeting, CEO was saying that his #1 priority is people and how much he is doing to make all employees happy. These claims got tested during coronavirus pandemic crisis when he axed one-third of the company. This is especially sickening that people lost their jobs and now facing healthcare emergency basically on their own. Just to keep in mind - other employers either said to their employees that their jobs are secured throughout 2020 or made a pledge not to do any headcount cuts for the next 90 days.

Pros

free lunch & gear. Product works well.

Cons

DR has Data Scientist(s) at the top with no business acumen running the company. Cannot execute - no strategy. Classic mistake of over-expanding. The company hired ~500 people in the last year, waaaayy over-expanding, and now has to lay off hundreds of US productive employees. Senior Management could not even wait for the US relief bill to pass Congress , which would enable them to take government money and retain employees.

Pros

Snacks, coffee and office location

Cons

The accountability and management structure throughout the organization is very flawed, which means a tangled web of issues that are nearly impossible to navigate, and it's getting worse as the company continues to grow. Feedback from employees isn't even considered. Management always wants to over engineer internal processes to the point where they become meaningless headaches and hinder productivity. Nepotism and favoritism are widespread. Small desks and a very crowded office. Despite what the company claims, there isn't any transparency. Everything is decided behind closed door without input or feedback. Directives always come as a surprise to everyone and are given based on poor reasoning, and priorities change by the hour. Nothing is explained or argued based on reason or evidence. Work-life balance is very poor, especially for compensation being on the low side.
