Chaotic, big egos and low pay

Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door for a career in luxury brands.

Cons

No power to make decisions, you have to deal with the large egos/demands of those in charge or of those hired to consult. The pay is very low to start out and hiring from outside instead of promoting from within is favored, I saw many talented people leave because their talent was not recognized and the people brought in above them had to be trained by them and were not half as competent.

Pros

The people that work in this company for the most part are great. The benefits are solid and better than in my previous experiences with other companies. Company morale is also good. This company is on the rise and being part of such a successful company in today's market is a huge benefit. This is a well-known luxury brand with history for excellence. The Yurmans are very hands on into what they Design, this is both unique and refreshing to experience first hand. Ultimately this company will continue to grow further and further, to be part of this makes for a great learning experience in the industry.

Cons

Being overlooked for promotions. Promotions happen that many times do not seem warranted. Seasoned employees get paid less than unexperienced people. Some management appears to believe they are above and beyond the company policies. HR department is basically non-existent. Titles seem to be thrown around to people haphazardly. You have managers with no staff beneath them who spend most of their time on the internet or attending meetings where they have no valid input. Awards are handed out in a "fixed" manner. Where the same people are repeated awarded outstanding leadership and commitment yet passed up for promotions, or people that have been in the company for less than 6 months are already being awarded.
