Pros

Not much physical work involved with managing a hotel aside from some light maintenance here and there. Not many staff members to supervise. Days Inn corporate takes much of the leg work out of the marketing aspect.

Cons

Not much time at home. One day a week off. Lower end of the salary spectrum for management. Constantly battling negative reviews on TripAdvisor which are generally untrue. Having to cover shifts when the few staff members you have are unable to work.

The management and staff are great to work with. The place starts to feel like a family after a while. Great profit share program for bonuses.

Cons

Pay is fairly low compared to industry standards and staff is greatly underappreciated by owners.
