Pros

Culture is beyond amazing. I have never experienced such an amazing organization that cares about it's people and it's mission so much.

Cons

There is a lot of autonomy and responsibility. Which I think is a healthy challenge for people. But if you don't step into it and believe in yourself to rise to the occasion, it can get difficult.

Pros

It's a real company. I only say that because it is, and I get it if your first inclination is to dig and do some research to confirm that. The leadership is incredibly transparent about everything: product direction, company financials, and how we choose the mission heroes to work with (we call our customers mission heroes). We are an all-remote asynchronous company. That may be a con for some people, but it is a pro for me. I get my work done AND spend time with my family when it works for me. We are not financially driven. Our goal is the delivery of mission value, and by focusing intensely on that, the money required to run a business will flow, which has proven true so far. This is a people-first company. That's not something that is just said to pay lip service. Policies are in place to back it up, which are referenced frequently to remind people not to neglect taking care of themselves or their families when needed. PTO policy is unlimited, with a minimum number of days to take off. Health insurance expenses are 100% covered. The DoD has a monopoly on mission, and that's the mission of keeping the US safe. People here feel empowered to speak their minds and not fear repercussions.

Cons

There's not much to complain about. There are downsides associated with working at a completely remote company. Sometimes, it's possible to feel disconnected from your coworkers. It's a start-up, so there can be some start-up-type cons. Many different hats may need to be worn over the course of a week.
