      Pros

      There will always be job security. Overtime is usually abundant, sometimes mandatory depending on work location. Eight hour shifts offer some flexibility in scheduling

      Cons

      Low base salary, pay is not stepped, can be difficult to advance, cost of benefits seems to go up every year with little to no raises every year

      Pros

      Pension, available over time if you want it. Work tasks are remedial, no college degree needed. Decent entry level job to get. One hired you can transfer to other departments in the state.

      Cons

      The union is weak, no wage increases, poor management, poor working condition's, lazy staff. The rules and policy's are not defined and not clear. Management has too many leaders.
