Pros

1. Flight Benefits: One of the standout benefits of working at Delta Airlines is flight benefits. Traveling for personal reasons at discounted rates or even for free is a fantastic perk that allows employees to explore new destinations and create lasting memories. 2. 401k Match: Delta Airlines demonstrates its commitment to employee financial well-being through its 401k match program. This benefit helps employees plan for their future and provides a valuable opportunity for long-term savings. 3. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I): Delta Airlines has made significant strides in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. The company actively promotes diversity through various initiatives and encourages employees to embrace differences, creating a sense of belonging for all.

Cons

1. Limited work-from-home opportunities: Delta could improve by providing more opportunities to work from home as long as performance does not suffer. 2. Loss of culture after COVID: The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly impacted the airline industry, and Delta Airlines is no exception. Unfortunately, some aspects of the company's culture seem to have been lost during this challenging time. Rebuilding and preserving the positive work culture will be crucial moving forward. 3. Medical costs: One area that could be a concern for employees is the cost of medical coverage. While Delta Airlines does provide medical benefits, the associated costs can be high for some individuals and their families. Exploring options to make healthcare more affordable for employees would be beneficial.

Pros

Flight benefits 401k 9% Profit sharing plan

Cons

-Work Life Balance is poor - peers and even your leadership send emails all hours of nights and weekends - resulting in pressure to respond for fear of being perceived as less committed than others -Lot of politics and inconsistencies -Lack of *authentic talent development and coaching - especially for existing people leaders to better assimilate to their new team/surroundings - there are plenty of online resources and “check the box” classes, but need more commitment to training, coaching, developing recently promoted leaders -Company and many leaders promote “family” and “rules of the road” but often dismiss when inconvenient for them. -Too many jerks and bad people leaders getting ahead by kissing the right *ss

Pros

These apply to the company as a whole: - Excellent flight benefits - Great 401k match - Flexible health insurance plans - Prestigious name to have on your resume - Many ways to earn more money through health incentives - Generous profit sharing when they return to profitability

Cons

These apply to Revenue Management: - Ideas and opinions from anyone below management are discouraged and frowned upon - Management expects you to adopt a workaholic mindset (early mornings and late evenings, weekend work, etc) - Difficult work-life balance - Deadlines are often unrealistic yet heavily enforced - Directors and above tend to distance themselves from their team; lack of relationship building and team building - With all that said- if you don’t mind hating yourself and suffering for 1-2 years, it’s a great stepping stone to learn the core of the airline then move into another role
