Pros

-The original mission of supporting our 2A members right of concealed carry. -There are still a large number of great people working there. Although they are starting to leave. -There are people still there that I worked with and love and it’s like cutting off my arm to leave them. -Great CEO -Great senior leadership

Cons

-Supervisors have “favorites” and I think this is because of how they are managed. - In the past year it felt like I was always in danger of being fired for missing a metric. -My Supervisor told me one of her managers always sent out messages to the supervisors on slack stating things as “job requirements” or “failure to do a specific action would result in termination “. It made my 1:1s always feel tense. It always rolled downhill. - I never believed my feedback was being shared in its entirety to my supervisor’s manager and because of this I stopped offering feedback. I didn’t want to get my supervisor in trouble. -Positivity and cheerfulness from upper managers has never felt sincere. -When I tried to share concerns, I never felt heard. -I was often told not to ask so many questions and my suggestions were often met with silence. I was told once by my manager to pick and choose my battles. I gave up trying to push back after this.

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience at Delta Defense. We value your input and are committed to continuous improvement. We're glad to hear you appreciated our mission and leadership, and understand your concerns about communication and support within your team. We take these matters seriously and are working hard to ensure that all employees feel heard and valued. Just this week, our CRO had a Town Hall meeting with all Advisors. Here is how one Advisor shared what happened at this Town Hall Meeting: "What we witnessed wasn’t just another meeting, it was a team showing its heart. The things shared today were raw, honest, and vulnerable. It takes real courage to bring your whole self into a space like that, especially when the topics are difficult or when dealing with something you care about (this company!). Thank you for leaning in, for being brave, and for investing your energy into making this a stronger team. I left the meeting feeling inspired, and I hope you did too!" We know we always have room to grow and improve, and we are committed to our most valuable asset, our people. We missed the mark on your employee experience and we wish you the best in your future endeavors and appreciate the time you spent contributing to our mission.

Pros

Great talent drawn to the business that make great teammates, and a great mission. Some very compassionate stances with some leaders who aim to be accessible by anyone in the company.

Cons

Several leaders arm-in-arm protecting one another who are failing to lead or to empower the talent serving as insightful boots-on-the-ground. "untouchable" individuals to whom expectations and rules don't apply, creating rot of trust and motivation of the individuals who otherwise were people who would go above and beyond. Weaponizing company core values, using team members as scape goats when convenient and taking credit for the work horses behind the curtain instead of trying to elevate them.

Pros

Its a job with a paycheck.

Cons

Wow, and I mean wow! They do a fantastic job on promoting the people they like, who are embedded in their cliques and higher-up social circles. If you are not a friendly person in your personal life, do not apply for a position here! You can be great at your job but if you aren't friends with the right people, good luck! They don't do verbal or written warnings. They will let you fail and when they are ready to let you go, they will present you with a performance improvement plan and try to force you out. I will comment on the ratings. Career opportunities depends on if you are friends with the right people. Compensation and benefits are poor because they ask for the best performance but pay average based on the market. Culture and values might as well spell out "Scientology". Diversity and inclusion means 99% white people and the 1% is a rehired black guy. Senior management only wants to hear or portray the good things but never addresses the true issues. Probably because they are part of the issue. Work/life balance is poor too. They "encourage" you to read every update, read every Slack channel, and be a part of every event. But they aren't willing to let you do it during work time. They also force you to do homework projects and read books for "improving yourself" and if you want to apply for a different position. One final thing. The upper management positions suggested people to work on holidays but they don't work the holidays themselves.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Your experience is not the employee experience we strive to offer our team members. We appreciate your contributions during your time with Delta Defense and are sorry to hear about your concerns. It's essential that team members feel empowered to communicate directly with leaders, enabling us to make meaningful changes and have crucial conversations. When feedback is shared solely online, it restricts our ability to address issues effectively. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you success in your future endeavors.
