      Interesting Choices

      Pros

      Generally good people trying to do a good job despite the executives. The atmosphere is collaborative, hard working and positive.

      Cons

      The CEO has made some interesting decisions around who to let go. The biggest problem with Deltek is that their products are outdated and poorly developed. This needs to be addressed. However, other areas of the organization have had senior leadership replaced, but the fundamental issue - product development - have not been tackled. As a result success is hard to come by in a "software" company when the software is outdated and full of bugs.

      Pros

      The core group of people that are facing clients and providing support are very dedicated to deliver best in class service and truely cares about the client.. The company does provide a decent severance package to former employees but will not provide any form of reference to future employers despite what is told during the exit interview. The strict non-compete clause is not valid in state of VA

      Cons

      Everyone and their dog is a VP or Senior Manager/Director and is not empowered to make a decison which generally results in no decision or an endless number of uselss meetings. Have never worked for a company that has such a low morale that continues to decline. Executive Management cannot be trusted and is only concerned about lining own pockets with wealth. "thrive in tough times" - code for suspending raises and 401K contribution whilst doling out $8MM in exec bonuses.
