We greatly appreciate your feedback and also the book recommendation. We will certainly look into it as we are always looking for improvement and ways to be better, but please understand our sales and service process has developed out of years of differentiating ourselves from other mattress retailers to provide the best service in the industry. In terms of relocation, the real key is that promotions are based off merit, not ability to move somewhere. If you are the top performer applying for the position, you will have the best opportunity, no matter what your relocation status is. If you have any questions on this, please contact me at 303-566-8172.

Pros

I have been managing a Denver Mattress store for the last 14 years. Like my dad, who worked for one company for over 30 years, I enjoy coming to work every day. Always a challenge. Biggest challenge is finding quality people who actually want to work. I have done retail sales and direct sales of the past 25 years. It is a privilege to be able to work for a company that provides professional sales people all of the tools, training, benefits, advertising, and best products to sell. Our compensation is second to none in this industry. With these kind of benefits, there are of course expectations. To work here you must be willing to work hard. During the interview process, I have always placed the cards face up on the table so to speak. This is a retail store, so retail hours are long, and include weekends and holidays. This is a mattress store, lifting is a requirement. Just consider it excellent work outs. Anybody who has written a negative review probably wasn’t a willing team member to promote success. By the way, we are extremely successful. Anyone willing to work hard, has a can do attitude, is welcome to try out for my team.

Cons

Only negative, is the retail hours sometimes. However, like everybody else in retail, I came into it knowing the hours. Just have to make adjustments with your time off during the week. Usually two and half days off in a row.

Pros

If you don't mind moving out of the city or state that you are currently living in then this is the job for you. The company only promotes from within which is great. You have the opportunity to move up as soon as 6months being in the company, or sooner. Weekly and monthly bonuses are nice. Training pay is good and their product is actually very good as well. I own a Denver Mattress mattress set myself and I definitely have to say that it was the best decision I made!

Cons

Pay is 100% commission. The managers are all on commission as well, so watch out for them stealing your sales because they will! They feel defeated when they are not leading in sales. You will usually work 10-12 hour shifts with two days off per week and don't expect any weekends off. Oh and if you don't mention any planned vacations or trips during your interview don't expect it to be ok if you request off 2weeks in advance like most jobs. You are not allowed to request any days off AT ALL smh until you have been with the company for ONE YEAR. Which at that time you only get one week of paid vacation time that has to be taken all at one point, not a few days here and there.
