Pros

Potential to make a good amount of money if everything is in place well.

Cons

No personal space, die for the company mentality, no backing, extremely outdated, new hires are expendable and no family/work life balance at all.

We appreciate your feedback, but are very confused by your review. The "No Personal space" comment makes no sense as we work together in a store, not with cubicles, but you are more than welcome to take breaks and decompress when necessary. The "die for the company" is very strange as well. We do ask for loyalty as most companies do, but we never ask you to do more than anyone else is willing to do. "No Backing" makes no sense as we have a very extensive training program that invests a lot of time and money into each person, directly going against your "new hires are expendable" comment as we look at all employees as our most valuable asset and new employees as the future of the company as we only promote from within, so no one is expendable. I am not sure what you are talking about on the "extremely outdated" as we have the most state of the art mattress manufacturing facility in the country, continue to work on updating our in store point of sale systems, and focus on having the best products. Finally in terms of work life balance, our average employee works 45 hours per week making very good money, so with that schedule and money, you should be able to balance your life as a vast majority of our long term employees have been able to do. If you truly felt like this in your store, then I would challenge you to have spoken with your district manager or to call me at 303-566-8172 to assist. We want the best experience possible for all of our employees, but do understand we are not the perfect company for everyone. Feel free to call me anytime and best of luck with your future endeavors.

Thank you for your review. We recognize that the pay in when you get paid on your sales has been different for everyone, but please remember that how much you get paid has not. The base commission structure has not changed and many people are making more money now due to the change adding commissions to your vacation pay, unlike before. We have recognized the need to pay the delivery crews more and have just recently greatly increased their pay for delivering our products in order to better incentivize them. I would recommend you speak with your district manager about this and make sure your store is fully aware of this new pay. If you are having trouble getting product delivered in a timely fashion, please feel free to contact me at 303-566-8172 so that I may assist in expediting the products to your store and in making sure the deliveries are done in a fair and equitable way for all stores involved.

Pros

If you work well enough they will give you some bonuses in the warehouse position that equal to about an extra 28-35 dollars on your check. Not to mention the service calls and deliveries you can do to make money. I made about 6k more than my base hourly pay. My coworkers and managers were an amazing bunch of caring people who I will miss and keep in contact with.

Cons

[Edit before the rest of this review. They tall their managers and employees to write nothing but good things about this job in an attempt to cover up bad reviews. Dig deeper to find out More. Use your best judgment when reading the reviews here.] As a warehouse person you're garbage. The district managers won't promote you even if you have the best warehouse in the district. If you're not a sales person, and you don't make sales then you'll never be promoted unless some magic happens. The carrot will dangle in front of you for a long time. As someone who's worked two years here I can safely say that if you grt hired as a warehouse person you should abandon all hope of getting to the sales position. You can have managment experience, you can be amazing at memorization and product knowledge, get millions of customer reviews about how you helped the customer with their problems, you can keep your variance at near perfect bonus levels. In the end, you're a warehouse guy. You're a lowly warehouse man and you can never move up to that entry level position that less qualified people get hired to. You can have a bachelor's of management, be great with customers, know all the product knowledge, and work extra on your days off. And you'll still be lifting up heavy beds while all the sales people are looking at their phones making 3x more than you. And that's 3 times more than what you make with all your bonuses and extra work that you put in. There are some few exceptions to what I just said, as some warehouse people do move up. But I think it's due to family, or some other politics. Also don't expect to have any weekends off, no time with your spouse or family. Forget you even have a family your time belongs to Denver Mattress now.

Thank you for your review, although I must point out a number of issues with your review. 1. We have never asked our managers to post positive reviews on Glassdoor. We have asked for any employee that wants to do a review to do one, whether it be positive or negative.as all reviews help us as a company become better. 2. In terms of being unable to promote out of the entry level warehouse position, I greatly disagree as we have numerous managers that started in the warehouse, including a district manager. These promotions are based on performance, customer interactions, and ability to work with a team, not college degrees or previous claimed experience. 3. In terms of the pay difference between the warehouse positions and sales, we are already in the process of evaluating this and have already increased the percentages paid to warehouse staff, already well above the 1% you mentioned. Also sales staff work on average of 45 hours per week, while warehouse staff typically work 35-40 hours per week, which should allow for the ability to spend quality time with your family if you so choose. 4. We have recently nearly doubled the amount of money that is paid to delivery staff for the setup of an adjustable base as we also recognized that they deserved more. Again, thank you for your review, and we wish you the best of luck in your future. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 303-566-8172.
